Lao govt monitors border strictly to avoid second wave of Covid-19

VIENTIANE (Xinhua): Laos' National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control continues to implement preventive measures and monitor people entering the country to avoid a second wave of Covid-19 outbreak.

Deputy Director General of the Department of Communicable Diseases Control under the Lao Ministry of Health, Sisavath Soutthaniraxay, told a press conference here on Wednesday (Jan 27) that people entering Laos will be sent to quarantine centres for 14 days to prevent people from bringing the virus to the country.
