KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 (The Star/ANN): ING’s chief economist for Greater China expects China’s GDP to grow strongly at 12% year on year in the first quarter of 2021 due to negative base in first quarter of 2020 and continuous rebound in economy.

Iris Pang expects China's GDP to grow by 7% in 2021, given the low base in the first half of 2020 and the projection that vaccines could slow down the spread of Covid-19 virus and therefore provide opportunity for faster economic recovery.
