HONG KONG (AFP): Asian markets mostly enjoyed fresh gains Thursday (Jan 14) as investors await Joe Biden's proposals for a vast new stimulus as well as comments from the head of the Federal Reserve on its policy outlook.
News that Donald Trump had been impeached for a historic second time appeared to have little immediate impact on sentiment, despite worries about more unrest across the US leading up to Biden's inauguration on Jan 20, following last week's storming of the Capitol.
