KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 (The Star/ANN) – Beijing must take drastic actions against the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his men for hurting China’s “core interest” in their final days in office, according to an editorial in China’s state controlled Global Times.
Washington announced last week that the US ambassador to the United Nations, Kelly Craft, would pay a visit to Taiwan this week, and Pompeo said last Saturday he was lifting restrictions on contacts between officials of both the US and the island of Taiwan, which is part of China.
