Spreading kindness, Vietnamese put magic into holiday season; Covid-19 under control


HANOI, Dec 27 (Xinhua): For many Vietnamese people, Christmas has been a festive time for dates, family gatherings and friends' parties. This year, however, with the Covid-19 pandemic still disturbing their normal lives, some are making the festive season a magic time of goodwill and giving back.

Vietnam, however, for which the people are thankful, have kep the pandemic largely under control. The government reported only one new Covid-19 case on Saturday night (Dec 26), bringing its total confirmed cases to 1,440 with 35 deaths from the disease so far, according to the country's Ministry of Health.
