BEIJING, Dec 6 (dpa): The number of people killed in an accident at a coal mine in Chongqing in south-western China has risen to 23, state media reported on Sunday after rescue operations concluded.

The victims were killed by a carbon monoxide leak. But one survivor was successfully recovered, the government news agency Xinhua said.
