Brunei committed to tackling climate change: minister


Brunei is also exploring the potential of Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage to mitigate industrial emissions from the oil and gas sector.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Xinhua): Reducing carbon emissions from the energy sector through efficient power generation, deployment of renewable technologies and addressing venting and flaring from oil and gas production are included in Brunei's efforts to tackle climate change, Minister of Energy Haji Mat Suny said.

Those efforts are detailed in the Brunei National Climate Change Policy launched in July 2020, he was quoted as saying by local daily the Borneo Bulletin on Wednesday (Nov 18).
