CPC sets course for China’s growth

Beijing: A key party meeting has set specific targets for China to basically become a modern socialist country by 2035, stressing the need to step up the building of the new development pattern of “dual circulation” in the next five years.

China’s economic and technological strength, and its composite national strength will rise significantly by 2035, and it will make major progress in developing core technologies in key areas and become a global leader in innovation, according to a communique released after the four-day Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, which concluded on Thursday.
