BRUNEI and Germany expressed appreciation for the close ties between the two nations and hoped to strengthen people-to-people as well as parliamentary exchanges.
This was highlighted when legislative council Speaker Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib received a courtesy call from the Germany envoy to Brunei Gerda Winkler yesterday.
