Brunei and Germany enhance cooperation


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Brunei Darussalam and Germany expressed appreciation for the close ties and cooperation between the two countries and hoped to continue to strengthen people-to-people exchanges and parliamentary exchanges.

This was highlighted when Legislative Council (LegCo) Speaker Abdul Rahman Mohamed Taib received a courtesy call from Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Brunei Darussalam Gerda Winkler on Wednesday (Oct 28).

Both parties touched on matters of common concern, namely on the challenges in facing the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

The German Ambassador also shared experience and information on how the Federal Republic of Germany coped with the pandemic, including encouraging people to wear face masks to reduce the risk of Covid-19 infection.

Both parties hope that a solution could be found to tackle the pandemic. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
