Myanmar's UEC expects parties, candidates to obey electoral directives

YANGON, Oct 25 (Xinhua): Myanmar's Union Election Commission (UEC) has requested all political parties and parliament representative candidates to obey the electoral directives in their election campaigns and to urge their parties' members and supporters to follow the prescribed guidelines.

According to the announcement on late Saturday (Oct 24), the political parties and parliament representative candidates are also asked to abide the code of conduct for political parties and candidates, the standard operating procedure for prevention and control of Covid-19, and the healthcare regulations and guidelines issued by relevant authorities.
