Oct 23 - China has drafted wide-ranging amendments to its Law on National Defence 1997 to better safeguard the security and economic interests of the country and its people – at home and abroad, according to Global Times.
The proposed amendments to the defence law have been placed on the website of the National People's Congress (NPC) since Wednesday to solicit public opinions, after it was deliberated by the NPC Standing Committee in Beijing.
