Japan, India, Australia and US to hold joint naval exercise

JAKARTA, Oct 20 (The Jakarta Post/ANN): Australia will join a naval exercise with India, the United States and Japan to be held later this year in the Indian Ocean, the Defense Ministry said Tuesday.

"As India seeks to increase cooperation with other countries in the maritime security domain and in the light of increased defense cooperation with Australia, Malabar 2020 will see the participation of the Australian Navy," the Indian ministry said in a statement to the international media.
