Philippines’ rail lines to hike rider capacities


STARTING today, more passengers will be allowed to ride the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3), the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1), Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2), and the Philippine National Railways (PNR).

According to the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the rail lines would increase their passenger capacity to 30% from the current 13% to 18%.
