Thai govt comes under fire over violent crackdown on protesters; royalist make police report


BANGKOK, Oct 17 (The Nation Thailand/ANN): Three organisations have denounced the violent crackdown on pro-democracy protesters who had gathered at the Pathumwan intersection and nearby areas on Friday.

The office of student council of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University said in a statement that it does not support violence by the government against the people, adding no violence should happen in society.
