China tourism rebounds during Golden Holiday week bringing in US$68.5 billion in revenues

SHANGHAI, Oct. 9 (Xinhua): China's online travel agencies reported better-than-expected booking figures during the eight-day National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, showing the country's tourism industry is steadily recovering from theCovid-19 (coronavirus) epidemic.

Online travel agency Tongcheng-eLong said its domestic hotel bookings had increased by 40 per cent from Oct 1 to 4, compared with the same period last year.
