Loud cries to delay elections


The Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) and prominent Muslim groups have urged the government to delay simultaneous regional elections scheduled for December over Covid-19 concerns.

The Covid-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 4,317 within one day to 295,499, with the death toll adding by 116 to 10,972, the Health Ministry said yesterday.
