Philippines reports record number of daily fatalities from Covid-19

MANILA, Sept 14 (dpa): The Philippines on Monday reported 259 deaths from Covid-19, the highest number of daily recorded fatalities, due to a revision of misreported data.

Most of the recorded fatalities dated back to July and August, as 253 of the deaths were initially recorded as recovered patients, but upon validation turned out to have died, the Department of Health said.
