Myanmar: Country goes under lockdown as Covid-19 infections surge

YANGON, Sept. 12 (Xinhua): The number of Covid-19 infections (coronavirus) has risen to 2,422 in Myanmar, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry, with 157 more cases being confirmed on Friday night.

The country has seen a rocketing number of local transmissions since the second wave of the Covid-19 outbreak on Aug. 16.
