The country’s economy, which recovered in 2019, is expected to continue this year amid a sharp slowdown in the global economy, according to the 2019 Annual Consultation Report on Brunei Darussalam published by the Asean+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO).
The agency on Monday said the gross domestic product grew by 3.9% in 2019, and is expected to continue to expand by 2.2% in 2020, amid a sharp slowdown in the global economy as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
