Thai authorities offer students forum to express views

BANGKOK, Aug 24 (Xinhua): In a bid to stem growing unrest and to create understanding with student activists, Thai Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovations (MHESRI) had offered the latter a forum to express their views on the future of Thailand.

"We have extended an invitation to about 60 student leaders to come and express their political stance this Thursday," said Minister Anek Laothamatas, adding that these first group of students are presidents of student councils at universities across Thailand.
