BANGKOK (Reuters): Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha appealed for unity in a televised address to the nation on Thursday night (Aug 13) amid almost daily student-led anti-government protests since mid-July.
Demonstrators are calling for the resignation of Prayut, who first took power in a 2014 coup, and an end to the military domination of politics.
