Large haul of stimulants, opium worth US$6.85mil seized in Myanmar


YANGON, Aug 9 (Xinhua): Myanmar authorities on Sunday said they have seized a large haul of stimulants and raw opium in Shan state in a single day, according to a release from the Central Committee of Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC).

A total of 6.4 million stimulant tablets worth 9.6 billion kyats (US$6.85 million) were confiscated from a vehicle travelling in Tachileik township on Friday afternoon.
