Covid-19 cases in Philippines near 120,000 with 3,561 new cases

MANILA (Xinhua): The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Philippines surged to 119,460 after the country's Department of Health (DOH) reported 3,561 new daily cases on Thursday (Aug 6).

The DOH said the number of recoveries further rose to 66,837 after 569 more patients have survived the disease, and the death toll increased to 2,150 after adding 28 more deaths.
