Covid-19 cases in Philippines surge to 115,980 with 3,462 new cases

MANILA (Xinhua): The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Philippines surged to 115,980 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 3,462 new cases on Wednesday (Aug 5).

The DOH said that the number of recoveries further rose to 66,270 after it reported 222 patients having survived the disease.
