SINGAPORE, Aug 2, 2020 (AFP): South-East Asian countries reported record rises of new coronavirus cases on Saturday as the WHO warned the effects of the pandemic would be felt for decades and the scramble for a vaccine heated up.
Six months after the World Health Organisation declared a global emergency, the Covid-19 (coronavirus) has killed more than 680,000 people and infected more than 17.85 million, according to an AFP tally.
