BANGKOK, Aug 2 (Xinhua): Thailand's orchids have been hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic with an over 40 per cent drop in export volume since earlier this year, said a senior government official on Sunday.
The exports of the Thai orchids to major world markets, including China, Japan, Italy, the United States and Australia, have declined by more than 40 percent in volume at the height of the pandemic earlier this year, according to Agricultural Extension Department Director General Khemkaeng Yutithamdamrong.
