MANILA, July 25 (Xinhua): The number of Covid-19 cases in the Philippines surged to 78,412 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 2,019 new cases on Saturday.

The DOH said that the number of recoveries further rose to 25,752 after 1,278 more patients have survived the disease.
