Laotians take to selling jewellery as gold prices soar


Many people are taking advantage of the current rise in gold prices to sell gold jewellery, said the Lao Gem and Jewellery Traders’ Association president, Phouvong Phamisith.

The number of customers buying gold jewellery in Laos has declined, after prices of the commodity on the global market increase due to the impact of pandemic, he added.
