MANILA, June 27 (Xinhua): The number of Covid-19 (coronavirus) cases in the Philippines soared to 34,803 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 738 new infections on Saturday.

The DOH said in its bulletin that the number of recoveries further rose to 9,430 after 249 more patients have survived the disease.
