BANGKOK (AP): World shares were mostly lower and US futures slipped Thursday (June 18) as worries over fresh outbreaks of coronavirus infections in the US and elsewhere gnawed at hopes for a fast recovery from pandemic shutdowns.
European benchmarks lost ground, with Germany's DAX down less than 0.1% at 12,378.96 while the CAC 40 in Paris gave up 0.4% to 4,975.46. Britain's FTSE 100 lost 0.3% to 6,233.35.
