Watch out for phone scams, Bruneians reminded


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) reminded the public to remain vigilant against phone scams that aim to obtain customers’ personal and banking information with the intention of causing financial loss.

BIBD advised the public to exercise caution when answering calls from unfamiliar local or international numbers as well as refraining from disclosing personal information over the phone or other media platforms (such as e-mail, social media and others).
