MANILA (Xinhua): The Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Wednesday (June 10) that crime incidents across the country 'dipped sharply' during the 84-day lockdown imposed since mid-March to contain the spread of Covid-19.

PNP chief Archie Gamboa said the police saw the crime rate on eight kinds of 'focus crimes' such as murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, robbery, theft, carnapping of vehicles, and carnapping of motorcycles "dipping sharply to its all-time low" during the quarantine period.
