SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/ANN): Singapore Airlines has secured S$10 billion in fresh liquidity through its recent rights issue as well as through other credit facilities, as the airline industry navigates an unprecedented crisis caused by the Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
A total of $8.8 billion was raised through the rights issue last Friday (June 5), and a further $900 million was secured through long-term loans secured on some of Singapore Airlines' Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-10 aircraft, the national carrier said in a statement on Monday.
