TAIPEI (dpa): Voters in Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s third-largest city, headed to the polls on Saturday (June 6) in a recall election for Mayor Han Kuo-yu (pic), who was also the main challenger in the last presidential election.
Han, a leading figure of the right-wing China-friendly Nationalist Party (KMT), lost out to Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen of of the governing centrist Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in the January elections.
