MANILA (Xinhua): The Philippines' headline inflation further slowed down to 2.1 per cent in May 2020 from 2.2 per cent in April 2020, mainly due to lower transpiration cost, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Friday (June 5).
"This brings the year-to-date inflation for 2020 at 2.5 per cent," PSA Head Claire Dennis Mapa said in a virtual media briefing. In May 2019, Mapa said inflation was higher at 3.2 per cent.
