BANGKOK (Xinhua): Three men were killed and another was wounded by a gunman at a state-run radio station in northern Thailand on Wednesday (May 27), police said.
The gunman, identified as Wim Sonsud and known as a technician at the Radio Thailand station in Phitsanulok province, shot dead three men including the head of the state-run radio station, namely Sanit Butramangkul, and two of his senior colleagues.
Another colleague of the gunman was wounded by a gunshot while a few female officials, who were working at the radio station of the Public Relations Department, were reportedly safe.
The assailant, who armed himself with two handguns, waited for the police to arrest him at the scene after he perpetrated the crime.
The police are yet to conduct investigation into the gunman's motive which prompted the fatal shooting. - Xinhua
