Philippines remittances up 3% to US$2.67bil in March

MANILA (Reuters): Cash remittances sent home by overseas Filipinos rose 3% to US$2.67 billion in March from a year earlier, the Philippine central bank said on Monday (May 15).

Cash remittances sent through banks in the first quarter totaled $8 billion, up 3% from a year earlier, it said in a statement.
