Myanmar: Govt to provide cash assistance to pregnant women


YANGON, Aug 8 (Xinhua): Myanmar government has been making arrangements to provide cash assistance to pregnant women in more regions and states amid the epidemic of Covid-19, an official of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement told Xinhua on Friday (Aug 7).

The government has been annually disbursing cash aids to expecting women and children under two years old to help develop their health and nutrition in Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Kayah, Shan states and the Naga Self-Administered Zone in Sagaing region since fiscal year 2017-2018.
