Sprinter Khairul fails to make 100m final at world youth meet

KUALA LUMPUR: There was no Hari Raya Aidilfitri joy for national youth sprinter Khairul Hafiz Jantan.

The teenager, who will turn 17 next Wednesday, clocked a personal best of 10.62 to finish fourth in the third heat of the boys’ 100m to qualify for the semi-finals in the ninth edition of the World Youth Athletics Championships in Cali, Colombia.
