THE late first President of free South Africa, Nelson Mandela, had been bestowed with numerous honours, awards, titles, honorary degrees and accolades which if listed will fill a 100-page book, for he has been acknowledged and remembered not only for his political struggles and victories but also for his personal qualities.
Thus, it is not surprising that many things have been named after him, from bird species to nuclear particles.
