I refer to the letters from Vanitha, “Cannot give blood because of UK stint” (The Star, June 7) and Mark Rummery, “Find a way to allow blood donors with UK link” (The Star, June 11).
One of the qualifying criteria for donating blood in Malaysia is that the individual should be free from the risk of variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (vCJD).
