KUALA LUMPUR: PAS must clarify if it wants to remain an Opposition party or one aligned to Barisan Nasional.
Parti Amanah Negara's communications director Khalid Samad (pic) said that while PAS had a right to choose whom it worked with, they must clearly state their political direction.
"They must state what their direction is - whether they want a change of Government or remain in the Opposition while defending Barisan," he told reporters at a press conference in Parliament lobby on Tuesday.
He said PAS must give a clear picture of the party's direction so voters can make a proper choice during polls.
He accused PAS of "playing both sides" to gain support from voters as an Opposition party, but ended up supporting the Government.
PKR deputy chief whip Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid said PAS was being inconsistent in the matter.
"They have been inconsistent even in the direction of their own direction," he said.
DAP national organising secretary Anthony Loke merely wished PAS "all the best" in their endeavours.
Pakatan Harapan leaders were asked to comment on PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang's view that the party was willing to work with Barisan for a common good.
