PETALING JAYA: CIMB Group chairman Datuk Seri Nazir Tun Razak has taken to social media to talk about the need to fight racism.
"Racism needs to be fought with clear definitions and legal framework from govt, active campaigns in schools etc and enforcement by police, parents, teachers, etc," Nazir posted on his Instagram account on Monday.
He said this while showing his support for the British-based charity organisation 'Show Racism the Red Card'.
Nazir said he loved the work that the organization had done in fighting racism and how it had helped to achieve a drop in racism in the English Premier League and society in general.
Show Racism the Red Card is an educational charity founded in 1996 and uses high-profile footballer players as role models to spread awareness about the issues surrounding racism.
I love their work. Founded by Shaka Hislop (ex Newcastle) they use top footballers as icons for campaigns. Helped to achieve massive drop in racism in EPL & society generally- remember how it was in 80's? Racism needs to be fought with clear definitions and legal framework from govt, active campaigns in schools etc and enforcement by police, parents, teachers etc.
