Teen held over nude video blackmail

PETALING JAYA: A 13-year-old boy has been picked up for allegedly threatening to circulate photos and videos of a naked girl masturbating.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Azmi Abu Kassim said the boy was picked up in Sepang at about 6.35pm on Sunday.

“He is under remand to help in our investigation.

“We seized a handphone, a laptop, two T-shirts, a pair of shorts and a phone bill,” he said.

The boy and the girl, also 13, met on social media site WeChat in March, became close and chatted daily.

However, things took a turn when the boy allegedly started to demand explicit photos and videos from the girl.

It is learnt that the girl gave in to the boy’s wishes after a few requests.

“Things were okay until the boy started asking for photos and videos.

“In May, the boy allegedly demanded that the girl send revealing photos and videos of herself.

“In mid-June, he demanded a video of her masturbating,” he said, adding that the victim stopped contacting the boy after that.

“That angered him and he threatened to circulate the photos and video of her. The girl then filed a report, which led to the arrest,” said ACP Azmi.

It is believed that the boy had sent a video clip of the girl, who is a student at a private school in Petaling Jaya, to her brother.

The boy had also allegedly shared the video in a group chat and threatened to forward it to more people if the girl continued to ignore him.
