PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor are suing DAP’s Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming (pic) for allegedly defaming them in a post on Facebook.

The plaintiffs’ lawyer Datuk Mohd Hafarizam Harun said a copy of the claim would be served to Nga on Monday.

The claim was filed last week.

Nga is alleged to have on March 29 uploaded on his Facebook page a photograph with several Cabinet ministers and Wisma Putra high-ranking officers at a hotel in China together with defamatory words.

It is claimed that the offending words implied that Najib was not fit to lead the Malaysian government as he had delegated his duties to his wife.

It is further claimed that the words suggested that he had abused his power and mandate as Prime Minister for his and his wife’s interest.

The suit is fixed for case management before deputy registrar Anisah Normah Muhammad Nor on July 10.
