Youth gets 18 years' jail over teen's death in Kedah padi field


ALOR SETAR: An unemployed youth has been sentenced to 18 years in jail by the High Court here for causing the death of teenager Noor Syafikah Nadia Abdullah two years ago at an abandoned padi field.  

The accused Mohd Firdaus Mohd Faridul, 20, appeared calm when the sentence was meted out by Judicial Commissioner Dr Choo Kah Sing on Thursday.
