PETALING JAYA: PKR vice-president Tian Chua has been arrested on Friday for his involvement in the #KitaLawan rally.

Tian Chua who is also Batu MP, was arrested when giving his statement at the Dang Wangi police station.

Tian Chua was later brought to the Jinjang lockup where his statement will be taken at about 3.00pm. He will be remanded until Saturday morning.

The police will apply to extend his remand order at the lockup on Saturday.

Tian Chua is being represented by lawyers R. Sivarasa and Eric Paulsen.

He is believed to be the 11th person to be detained over the rally.

On March 7, groups of protesters converged at Sogo Shopping Complex for the #KitaLawan rally.

The rally was intended as a show of support for Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who was jailed five years after being found guilty of sodomising his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
