Owner of car wash shot dead

SUNGAI PETANI: An owner of a car wash was gunned down in front of his house in Taman Sri Gedung, near Jalan Lencungan Timur, at 12.10am, on Monday.

Kuala Muda District Police chief ACP Khalil Ariffin said the deceased, S. Thanabalan, 34, who was in a car, was believed to have been shot at from close range by four suspects, who were also in a car.

"The victim was shot at several times, killing him on the spot,” He said.

His body was sent to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital for a post-mortem.

Police were still conducting investigations on the case and efforts to hunt the suspects was still going on, he added. - Bernama
