PETALING JAYA: It is unlikely that car prices will be reduced with the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) next year, according to industry players.
“We are of the view that it is not correct to say that car prices will come down simply because the current 10% sales tax will be replaced by a 6% GST come April 1 next year,” said Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president Datuk Aishah Ahmad.
